Will I learn about my child?

Yes, you will receive a packet containing your child’s picture and personal information about them.
Each year you will receive an annual progress report about your child.

What help will United Children’s Fund provide my child?

Each child needs are different. A local team will visit with your child and family to determine what they need most. It can be school fees, direct family assistance and other local community projects, including safe drinking water, farm and animal training, or helping the family establish a cottage industry for income generation.

How long is the sponsorship?

You can sponsor your child as long as you want. After the child has completed his/her education, you can support another child who needs your help.

Can I stop my support?

Yes, you can stop your sponsorship at any time. If for any reason you are unable to continue supporting your child, you may stop your support. We will attempt to find another sponsor to take your place.

Will I receive an official tax receipt for my sponsorship?

Yes, United Children’s Fund will issue one cumulative tax receipt for all of your monthly sponsorship payments and other donations made during the year. This receipt will be mailed to you in late January or early February of the following year.
